BiblioForge is a studio in Oakland that hosts book arts workshops and classes given by talented teachers in a variety of disciplines. Some traditional crafts as well as modern DIY and book arts disciplines. These will include bookbinding, mail art, calligraphy, lettering, paper crafts, lino and woodblock printmaking, maybe even letterpress printing. This is a group for anyone who has ever been curious about how to make a book. Whether you're a writer who wants to bind your own books, an artist who wants to create unique pieces, a photographer wanting to create an anthology of your work, a crafter who wants to learn new skills. Based out of the San Francisco Center for the book, this group will also be a resource for Bay Area materials, workshops, events, exhibition and fairs.
